The Longmeadow Parkway Bridge over the Fox River is set to open soon, and as a result, two toll signs have been taken down. This signifies the conclusion of the planned toll collection to offset construction costs. The bridge, situated near Carpentersville, is the last segment of a 5.6-mile corridor in Kane County, extending from Huntley Road to IL Route 62. Kane County Board Chairman Corinne Pierog and other individuals commemorated this milestone as a large crane removed the signs. You can view the video capturing the removal of the signs and the celebratory event.
